It was so fun working with Stephanie on her wedding day.  She has naturally very curl hair, and wanted a style with loose curls and volume.  Hair extensions were added to create fullness and length.  Using hair extension makes the hair stand out in a photo and really enhances the romantic look.   The Amie Decker makeup team always does a great job and today was no exception.  They have a way of making the bride look fresh and completely stunning!  Cherry Blossom Events made the day look amazing and every detail was present.  It's an honor that Stephanie chose me to style her hair on her wedding day, and I never take it lightly.  Thank you Stephanie, you look gorgeous! 

Deirdre & Matt's Wedding

Check out this gorgeous wedding!  The bride is stunning with her top knot and sparkling hair accessory;  I loved creating this style for her.  It's so classic, elegant, and simple all in one; while looking polished from day to night. Celebrity Ana Ortiz

I had the opportunity to style Ana Ortiz's hair while she was doing press in DC for her new role as Marisol Duarte in a Lifetime comedy-drama series, Devious Maids.  She was sweet, hilarious, funny, loveable and down to earth.  She even told me about a new self tanner Duwop, and I'm now addicted to it...just like she said I would be. I can't wait to see her next time she's in DC. 

2013 Inauguration

 I was asked to help for the 2013 Inauguration of President Obama, and had the pleasure of creating makeup for the Presidents immediate family; his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng and sister in law Kelley Robinson.  The hair and makeup team was escorted by secret service to the Blair House, where guests of the President stay.  Once inside they took us to the salon where Elizabeth Arden donated her signature red door.  I loved meeting Maya and Kelly; they had great stories to share and bubbly personalities to go with them!

Published Photo Shoot

My hairstyles were published on 100 Layer Cake, one of the country's top wedding blogs! This photo shoot was taken at the Josephine Butler Mansion in DC, as well as surrounding parks in Virginia.  The amazingly talented Emily Dionne created the theme, and organized the event.  She is the best to work with and let me design my own version of vintage for the hairstyles.  How about some high fives for the photographer and makeup artist, they did a fantastic job!
